How do you beautify your 500+ posts WordPress website (better outlines, tables, search bar, etc.) without changing the theme?
1. Adding an Outline
One of the main ways to make your post memorable is through adding an outline. By outlining your ideas before you write, you can separate them into different sections and write your content by following the points that you have made. It also gives you an idea of how much content you need to write in order for it to be well-rounded and cohesive.
Wordpress makes it easy to create a great looking website. One of the easiest ways to enhance your design is with an outline. Outlines are one of my favorite WordPress plugins because they’re so simple to install and setup and can really make your website “pop”. Whether you’re just starting out in Wordpress or have been creating websites for years this article will help you get started. I’ll cover three different outline styles for you to use on your WordPress website.
Outlines are great to have in your blog posts. Not only do they make your page more readable, it also allows us to create a tree structure to our content. This is great as search engines can read and understand the structure of our page, then start indexing certain elements (paragraphs or headings) within the page. Then you've got yourself some indexed content, that's not just text but structured text (with a tree-like structure).
There are a lot of great ways to improve your site and attract potential clients/customers. One great way to visualize what your posts will look like is with an outline. This change can impact the experience a visitor has with your content and engage them more because they can follow along easier. To start outlining, you have to make sure that the Structure plugin is active...
2. Search bar plugin
A search bar plugin is probably the best plugin available to companies in terms of allowing customers the easy ability to find their website.
You’ve finally decided to create a website. Congratulations; everyone should have a website nowadays even if it’s just for personal use (e.g., blog, portfolio, side project). There are many WordPress plugins but not all of them are necessary and sometimes redundant as well. The search bar plugin is one of the first plugins that you should install because it would fit your site needs.
WordPress comes with a search bar in your dashboard, but that’s not enough. This can be easily fixed as there are a few popular plugins you can use to supercharge your site’s search feature.
Your search bar is a crucial element within your website. But, most likely, it’s the least important part of the design process. The only problem? It needs to have a huge impact on converting visitors. These days, a search bar is much more than search. Having social media icons, site-wide navigation, and other ways to engage customers are all just as important if not more so than the actual search bar.
Fresh from the Google update. Your website’s visitors are now looking for actual answers to their questions, and people need it fast. When people search for an answer, you want to show them how you can give it to them in a blink of an eye. It is now more important than ever for you to provide actual solutions in your blog posts or articles. You could use pop-ups, but that may turn people off or get in the way of your content.
3. Add tables to your pages
Tables can increase the organization of your content and add a professional look to your pages. It’s pretty easy to add tables to your pages, but it’s not always obvious how you should use them. Everything from the size of your table, headers and cellspacing are important details you should be aware of to make the most out of tables. Here’s a short guide to help you with getting started.
A table is a set of data displayed in rows and columns, which could be used to show information about numbers, words and phrases. There is no limit on the number of columns or rows within a table. Use tables as another way to add information, images and links to your pages.
For the next exercise, we’re going to use a slightly different type of widget: a table. You may have used these in Microsoft Word or Google Sheets, but WordPress provides some built in tools to create your own tables. Here’s how: First, you’re going to need to get the HTML code for a table that has two rows and three columns (see below). The code will look something like this (it varies based on which WordPress theme you are using):
Are you preparing a report for your boss? Showing your grandma how to comment on your blog? Are you Tebow and do you only talk in tables? Just kidding about that last one. If any of those sound like you then read on.
4. Try a new theme but stay in the same family of themes
WordPress comes with thousands of themes, but not all themes are created the same. You can find beautiful themes to surprise and delight your readers, but also you can find a theme that doesn't make the grade. So which one should you choose? My suggestion is to stay in the same family of a WordPress theme.
The last thing you want to do is switch up a whole bunch of things at once. It's important you stay focused on one little thing at a time so that you can digest and implement it. Doing this will help you to move forward in your Internet marketing strategy. So right now, I suggest that you change up your theme but only explore themes within the same family as your current theme (check out the examples page for WordPress themes here – http://wordpress.org/themes/ ).
If you have been with me for a while, you would have read my blog post on the psychology of colors ( here ) and one thing I mentioned in it is that, we should try and stay with the same family of colors when redesigning our website or making a new blog. This helps us connect better with our readers and visitors and also brings consistency to your content by keeping a theme throughout all of your posts. And this is particularly powerful if you are planning on doing an A/B test with your two designs.
You have a blog set up and you look at the theme and think: “I could make that look a lot better”, but are you sure? What if it gets more complicated and you decide to stay with your old theme? Is it worth changing the theme if it means you'll loose work on posts already typed out? Well don't risk it. Try our Thesis WordPress themes, they're fast and clean, perfect for your blog and will save you time without having to redesign your site from scratch.
5. You can beautify a WordPress website without changing the basic theme.
If you really need to improve the design of your website, you don’t have to change the basic appearance or theme. You can beautify your WordPress website without changing the original base appearance with the help of:
This is a super cool way to spruce up your WordPress website without having to change the basic theme. If you want to add text or make changes to your website’s main image, there are great tools within your dashboard. Here are some of my favorite ways to update a WordPress theme with free online tools.
You might be thinking that you need to change your website’s theme to make it beautiful, but that’s not the case. A good-looking website can be achieved with a basic theme. The design is not just about the colors or images used in the website. It is also about the words used on it. Words make a good design even better. It’s important to write content that is easy to read, clear and informative so your visitors will not be distracted while they read through it.
